What is Black Friday in July?


Black Friday in July is a recent retail trend that is largely motivated by Amazon’s Prime Day Sale, which just occurred on July 16-17. Amazon offers some of their best discounts during this sale, with some that are even lower than Black Friday. To compete, retailers like Target, Best Buy, Macy’s, and more have begun their own summer sales which many of them call Black Friday in July. 

The prices in these sales do tend to rival Black Friday pricing and are some of the best deals we see all year. If you see something you like on sale, we recommend you buy it, because it’s unlikely you’ll find a lower price until November.
