Amazon just announced that this year’s first Prime Day will be happening sometime in July. While we don’t have the specific dates available just yet, our experts have pulled together this handy guide to get you ready for the biggest Amazon sale event of the year. Our guide will help you get ready for some of the year's best deals on tech, fashion, beauty, toys, home goods, groceries, and more, with many prices even lower than those of Black Friday!
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day is Amazon’s annual summer sale event that many call the “Black Friday of Summer”. In fact, we have seen some items have even better pricing during Prime Day than on Black Friday! It is a two-day event during which Amazon rewards its Prime members with exclusive pricing, especially on Amazon-owned products like Kindle and Roomba.
It’s one of the best times of year to purchase home and beauty essentials, Apple products, and clothing, like popular lululemon dupes or the viral Amazon jacket. You don’t have to be a Prime member to benefit from some of these price drops, but you will get far better discounts with a Prime account. Amazon Prime members will also receive exclusive access to Prime-only deals and free shipping on all orders.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?
While Amazon hasn’t released the exact dates yet, we anticipate that the event will occur in early to mid July. In previous years, Amazon has announced Prime Day in mid-June, so we are expecting an official announcement very soon. We expect that it will be around the same time as it was last year (July 12 is Amazon’s birthday, so that’s usually around when Prime Day falls).

How do You Prepare for Amazon Prime Day?
Sign up for Amazon Prime or a free Prime Trial before the event. You’ll get the most out of Amazon Prime Day if you are an active Prime member, and you’ll also score free shipping with no minimum purchase.

We also anticipate seeing deals on Prime video channels and Kindle Unlimited, as well as other subscriptions.
