I'm very pleased with this nightgown. I don't like when a nightgown leaves arms and chest exposed. This one covers it all. The neck is high (but not so high that it's bothersome). The arms are full-length. And the nightgown itself is quite long. For me, it's about 4" off the floor. I'm 5'9". I did purchase a size up so that the gown would be super loose and comfortable. That may have made it longer as well. But I like the size being so generous.
The styling on this nightgown is cute. The pockets are a stylish touch, although I can't see myself using them. The fabric content on the label concerned me. It said 95% rayon and 5% spandex. I have other items with that fabric content and I hate those items (they're really cold, slinky and clingy). But the fabric on this nightgown doesn't feel like that at all. It's very soft and feels like a cotton blend. I question whether that tag could be right. But whatever - the fabric is great, looks like t-shirt material and is just as soft. It's not clingy or cold feeling against the skin. I waited to write this review until after I washed the item. I can say that it washed up just fine in the machine. I washed on warm and dried on high, even though the tag said to dry on low. I didn't have any problems with standard washing. The fabric still looks good, and I don't think there was any shrinking (if there was, it was minor).
The tag inside is very stiff and crinkly which drove me nuts while I was testing the nightgown. But now that I know it washes well and I like the gown, I cut off that annoying tag. I like the gown so much that I purchased two more in different colors. I highly recommend this nightie, especially if you like full coverage. It's possible that it might be too long on a shorter person.
