L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Volume Building Black Brown Mascara is uniquely formulated to resist clumping, keep lashes soft, and build lashes up to 5x their natural thickness. Volume Maximizing Brush quickly thickens and builds lashes evenly for a full and bold look. Contains Panthenol and Ceramide-R and helps protect and condition lashes. I have been using this mascara for over 10 years and it has definitely changed. I honestly thought i accidentally bought water proof mascara because of how hard it was to come off but when I read the label it was regular mascara. I hope the company realizes how many people are complaining and go back to how they use to make it.

Formula has changed. I used this product for years and loved how silky it was yet it washed off easily. Now it is more clumpy and it does not wash off easily. It used to dissolve completely with just water but now it takes effort with scrubbing and cleansers to get it to come off and it comes off in waxy/plastic like clumps. This was my holy grail mascara and now it’s ruined by the new formula.

Not pigmented enough. I couldn't tell any difference with the burgundy or the violet. Super disappointing.

I have used this product for decades and I am so sad you decided to change the formula. I went store to store for months buying up the old mascara formula and have now finally ran out. This is such a disappointment. The new formula makes my eyes tear and clumps the lashes together. This had never been the case in the past. My hope is your team will realize their error and bring back the old formula. Until then I am on to find a replacement..,

I’ve been a loyal user of your Voluminous Mascara for many years, particularly in the shade Blackest Black. However, I’ve noticed a change in the formula recently. Over the past three weeks, I’ve purchased the mascara three times, thinking that the formula in my previous bottles may have dried out. However, I am still experiencing the same issues: the mascara has become clumpy and is much more difficult to wash off. I’ve never encountered these problems with this product before and it’s been a staple in my routine for decades. I was always asked what mascara do you use or are your lashes real. Not anymore. Could you let me know if there has been any recent change to the formula? If so, bring back the original formula.

I’ve been wearing this mascara for 20+ years and it was always my favorite and my go-to. Recently it feels like the formula has changed. It smudges, flakes, and now it’s very difficult to wash off. I thought I made a mistake and bought the waterproof, but it’s the original. I liked how easy it used to wash off without makeup remover. Now even with makeup remover, it’s not completely gone. Very disappointing.

For the love of God, PLEASE bring back the old formula. This is absolutely now the WORST mascara. It is a clumpy Mess. I have bought this mascara for over a decade, and it WAS the best. This decision to change the formula is worse than those who changed Coca-Cola to New Coke in the 80s. You have to be hemorrhaging customers.

I used to LOVE this mascara and have used it over 20 years and they recently changed the formula and now It won’t wash off and irritates my eyes. Why change an amazing product and fix what’s not broken!?! 😢

The formula change is awful. As other reviews noted, I first thought I had purchased a faulty tube as I’ve used this product for years with amazing consistency. Nope. New formula comes out of the tube gloopy, leaves clumps on lashes, doesn’t wash off easily with regular make up remover, a total disappointment!

This new 15x formula is horrible. Please bring back the 5x or 7x Original voluminous mascara. When I first learned those were discontinued I went everywhere and bought up all the old formuIa mascara I could find. Alas, I have used them up no si I have tried a few other L'Oreal mascaras and none of them comes close to what I used for many, many years. I agree with the other reviewers that this is not the same mascara, only "improved." I am tired of throwing away money on trying to find a mascara that works for me.
